Mary Katherine Bergman, PT, DPT, CHDN

Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Mary Katherine Bergman, PT, DPT, CHDN, attended the University of Oklahoma for dietetic school. After graduating with a degree in nutritional science, she attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center. In 2014, she earned her doctorate in physical therapy.

 

She has experience working with a variety of different types of injuries in orthopedic sports medicine, geriatrics and pediatric populations. 

 

Mary Katherine especially enjoys working with athletes, pre-and-post surgical injuries, non-surgical injuries, of all ages, to help them return to their optimal performance using her manual therapy skills, along with her knowledge on sports training and nutrition. She has successfully rehabilitated many patients after ACL reconstruction, low back pain,  knee, hip, ankle and shoulder replacements, and other post-surgical injuries. 

 

Throughout her career, she has also worked with incredibly skilled mentors who have taught her rare manual therapy techniques that result in rapid and astounding results. She is now a certified partitioner of dry needling and has seen great results with this new technique. 

 

Mary Katherine has a deep commitment to her patients and is devoted to each patient’s health and recovery. She believes that a patient’s overall wellness is an integral aspect in their recovery and encourages her patients to take a whole-body approach when rehabilitating from an injury. It is this belief that inspired her to start MK Physical Therapy and Wellness in 2020.
