Stephanie is a Native Midlander. In 2014, she graduated from Mississippi College -- a private Baptist university established in the early 1800s -- with a degree in ACS Biochemistry, and minors in French and Biology.
From January 2019 to May 2022, Stephanie worked at C.O.M. physical therapy, an outpatient orthopedic clinic as a physical therapy technician. While at C.O.M., she gained exposure to therapy treatments in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: aquatic, concussion, pelvic floor, vestibular, neuro, sports rehab, post-op and post-COVID stamina therapy. Now, Stephanie is gaining exposure to manual techniques with Mary Katherine and Kala and hopes to pursue her own holistic treatment as a healthcare provider in the future.
As a former professional ballet dancer, she loves movement and health and believes fully in helping others be educated on total body wellness, as nutrition and movement fuel mental and emotional health as well. She also experienced her own pain through injuries in ballet, and ACL reconstructive surgery. From this, she gained valuable experience from the patient side, seeing the importance of the therapist - patient relationship.
Staying active to prevent long-term disability is an area that fueled Stephanie’s desire to help improve the PT field. PT during Stephanie’s own post-op recovery showed her what she wanted to be for others. Since she loves people and hearing their stories and helping them thrive, this felt like the perfect fit.
Stephanie has always enjoyed working with athletes and doing post-surgical rehab. The mental side of recovery, especially post-op, is often one of the most important things, so she always hopes to bring encouragement and a listening ear.
As a former professional ballet dancer, a certified personal trainer with NASM, and advocate for holistic wellness, Stephanie is studying for a certification test in personal training to help more people thrive in their daily lives.
Stephanie loves hiking, Spartan races, her boyfriend’s mutt (Boomer) and working out. She’s also a coffee snob, lived in Jackson, MS for eight years, then Paris, France for two years while working with college students, before moving back to Midland in 2019. She hopes to venture back to Europe before too long.
Stephanie is excited to be working with her best physical therapy friends at MK Physical Therapy & Wellness.
