About Kala

Kala Luciano is originally from Canby, MN. Kala became interested in physical therapy after her own experience in therapy following a car accident right before the start of nursing school. She then transferred after a year to her physical therapy assistant program.

In 2006, she graduated from Lake Area Technical College in Watertown, SD with a degree as a physical therapy assistant.

After college, she worked in Gillette, WY for nine years -- mostly in an outpatient clinic with orthopedic, pediatric, wound care, aquatic care and athletes. She also worked in the hospital and nursing home settings for two years.

While in Wyoming, she was trained in Sportsmetrics and started an ACL prevention program for athletes. She worked to train runners and held training programs for people interested in changing their lives simply with tennis shoes. Many of her athletes went from sitting on a couch to running 5K events, half-marathons and even full marathons. Kala is certified in Kinesio tapping, cupping, dry needling and IASTM. 

In 2015, Kala and her husband moved to Midland, TX. For the next six years, she worked at C.O.M. Physical Therapy with orthopedic injuries and athletes. Kala also did home health for one year.

Kala and her husband have enjoyed the life they have built in Midland with their daughter and two dogs. The family loves to travel to see family in Minnesota. She also enjoys coaching her daughter's sports teams and volunteering for events at her daughter’s school. The family enjoys riding horses together and taking lessons. Kala still enjoys running and participating in 5K events in Midland.
